Summary by Helen Sherlock
Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Sheldon (Jim Parsons), Raj (Kunal Nayyar) and Howard (Simon Helberg) are eating at Leonards and Sheldon’s apartment when Penny (Kaley Cuoco) knocks on the door and asks Leonard if he could make sure some furniture is delivered to her apartment while she will be at work. Leonard invites her over to eat and watch the Superman marathon with them, but as the four men descend into argument about Superman’s powers, Penny slips back to her apartment.
Leonard and Sheldon take charge of the furniture delivery and after they finally manage to get the furniture up the stairs and into Penny’s apartment, Sheldon is shocked by the state of the place. Later that night, Leonard wakes up to a noise and notices the door to his apartment is open. He wanders across the hall to find Sheldon in Penny’s apartment cleaning up. Leonard tries to convince Sheldon to stop, but Sheldon instead convinces him into helping to clean up.
The next morning, Leonard is troubled by what they have done, but Sheldon is confident that they have done Penny a huge favour. Penny however is furious and demands her key back from Leonard then tells the two of them to stay away from her.
Leonard tells Sheldon that he should apologize to Penny, and so Sheldon goes over to Penny’s, apologizes and asks her not to blame Leonard. At the same time he also manages to embarrass Leonard by telling Penny that he has heard that Leonard is “a gentle and thorough lover”.
On the way to do her laundry, Penny meets Raj, and tells him about the whole incident. Raj is still too nervous to say anything around women and while Penny is talking we hear his thoughts about her. After talking more, Penny comes to the conclusion that because other guys are jerks, it doesn’t mean that Leonard and Sheldon are, and asks for Raj’s opinion, to which he thinks he should probably just nod.
As Leonard is trying to slip a note under Penny’s door, she opens the door. So Leonard instead reads the note aloud, which is rather long and rambling. Penny finally stops him and tells him that she’s not mad anymore. Leonard, Sheldon, Raj and Howard later help Penny to set up her new entertainment center, but end up getting carried away by all the potential new improvements they could make on the design, leaving Penny to assemble it by herself.
