Breaking Bad Summary
Set in the deserts of and cities of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Breaking Bad tells the story of Walter White, a middle-classed chemistry teacher who is diagnosed with Stage III cancer and is told he only he only has two years to live. With a wife and a son with cerebral palsy, Walt decides he must find a way to provide for his family even after his death. Through his brother-in-law, a DEA officer, Walt is exposed to and astounded by the money involved in the drug trade. Using his knowledge in chemistry and the help of a former dropout student, Jesse, Walt produces a crystal meth so pure that he quickly becomes a major player in the international drug game. The series follows Walt’s various stages of growth, decay, and transformation through his journey from a chemistry teacher to an international meth cook.
