Higglety Pigglety Pop! Or There Must Be More To Life Summary
This short film entitled "Higglety Pigglety Pop! Or There Must Be More To Life" by Chris Lavis and Maciek Szczerbowski released last 2010 is one of my favorite films right now. It’s an animated adaptation of Maurice Sendak’s book with the same title published in 1967. A very brilliant tale of a terrier dog named Jennie who seeks “experience” to become the star of World Mother Goose Theater. What I liked about this story is that Jennie, left her very nice comfortable home and loving master to search more things about life. She just brought 2 food bowls, 2 pillows and a red wool sweater for cold weather with her. On her journey outside her comfort zone, she realized that she wanted to become a star at World Mother Good Theatre but she was told that she needs an “experience”. All she taught that the “experience” being asked for is an object that can be found or purchased anywhere. But little did she know that by the time she left home, search more about life and failed on her tasks in the story, she was able to gain the “experience” that the Theater folks were requiring. It is in every failure that one person gains an experience and by doing so, learns more about life.
